Sam May’s Bibles

 

On January 22, 2010, Mr. Peter Wilkinson Bragdon, great grandson of Rev. Samuel May, presented to the church two bibles (part I and part II) at one time owned by Sam. The bibles first came to the May family in 1834. Sam passed them to his daughter, Charlotte, in 1870. In addition, Peter provided us with a family tree that traces the May line back to John May born in 1590. More information on that family tree will be included on this page at a later time. Below are photos taken of Peter with one of the bibles and that family tree.
